Well my friends, our brand spanking new HICAPS machine allows us to offer a rebate from your private health insurer at the point of sale. All you have to do is pay the gap! Save time and effort claiming from your private health insurer.
‘How much will my gap payment be?’
The amount you are able to claim with your private health insurer will depend on your level of cover. You can enquire with your private health insurer prior to your consultation if you wish. Simply provide your insurer with the cost of the consultation and the HICAPS item number below to find out how much you will be required to pay.
HICAPS item number:
- First Consultation: 500
- Second and Support consultations: 600
‘Can I claim with Medicare?’
Our new HICAPS facility also greally improves our ability to process Medicare consultations and bulk bill eligible clients. The Healthy Eating Hub can bulk bill clients who have one of the following Chronic Disease Management reports provided by their GP:
- A GP Management Plan (GPMP) – item 721
- Team Care Arrangement (TCA) – item 723
First consultations – Clients will be asked to pay the full cost of the consultation and a Medicare rebate will be refunded into their bank account either through the HICAPS machine or through manual claiming.
Second consultations / 1 hour support consultations – Clients will be asked to pay the full cost of the consultation and a Medicare rebate will be refunded into their bank account either through the HICAPS machine or through manual claiming.
Bulk Billed 30 minute support consultations – Clients will have no out of pocket expenses and bulk billing will occur through the HICAPS machine.
